Minutes of the Meeting held on the 15h March 2005 were
approved and signed. DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTThe
Members had no interests to declare at this stage. MATTERS ARISINGGrounds Maintenance Service Review – Clerk to complete questionnaire and request quote from Melton Borough Council. Grimston Post Box – Clerk reported request to move Post Box should be made in writing to John McCarthy, Collection Support Manager at Leicester Mail Centre. Members of the public were asked for comments. Decided at present time not necessary for alternative Post Box. CORRESPONDENCE The following items were brought to the attention of the Council:- ROSPA – Annual Inspection to be carried out in May. Rural Community Council – Summary of Activities. Leics. & Rutland Playing Fields Association – Playground Inspection Training Course Melton Borough Council – Parish Litter Bin. New waste bin has now been delivered and agreed Tony Best replaces old waste bin on Bus Shelter with new larger bin. Trafalgar Weekend –21st/23rd October. MATTERS Old Goods Yard, Grimston Station, Saxelbye (Application No. 05/00274/OUT). Outline Planning Permission for single storey dwelling. No objections have been received. Concern was raised regarding access for Alstom UK Ltd. Agreed 4 to 1 – Clerk writes to Melton Borough Council stating although outside Village Envelope, it is ideal brown-field site for single storey dwelling. Letter also state the Parish Council is concerned about access for Alstom UK Ltd. to the Railway Test Track and request Melton Borough Council consult Alstom UK Ltd. 9 Main Street, Grimston (Application No. 05/00223). Application for Consent to Work on Trees. For information only. Shoby Lodge Farm, Shoby (Application No. 04/01069/FUL). Approval of Planning Permission received. Windyridge, 16 Shoby Lane, Grimston (Application No. 05/00095/FUL). Application withdrawn. Melton Local Development Framework – Development Site Criteria Discussion Paper. Decided not to complete questionnaire. Melton Local Development Framework – Village Envelope Consultation Scheme. Mr. Davies reported on proposals discussed at Parish Council Liaison Meeting.
