MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 15^th October 2007 were approved and signed.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

The Members had no interests to declare at this stage.                                                                     

MATTERS ARISING

Stocks  -  Clerk reported Mr. Rowley has not yet sent Estimate.  Clerk to submit applications for funding on receipt of Estimate.

HGV Lorries through Grimston - Clerk reported a Notice has been placed in Village Life but no further complaints have been received.

Horse Chestnut Tree - Chairman reported Electricity Board need to cut back branches overhanging wires.  To be carried out at same time as work agreed with Julian Simpson.

The following items were brought to the attention of the Council:-

Melton Borough Council  -  Melton Local Development Framework.  Affordable Housing Draft Supplementary Planning Document.  Circulated.

Leics. County Council - Consultation on Leics. Minerals Development Framework & Leics. & Leicester Waste Development Framework.

LARAPLC - Melton Branch Meeting Tuesday 27^th November.  Clerk to send apologies.

Voluntary Action Melton - Clerk completed Survey online.

Melton Borough Council - Review of Polling Districts & Polling Places.

Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

NALC - National Salary Award for Clerks 07/08.

Leics. Together - Public Consultation on Draft Sustainable Community Strategy.  Circulated.

Melton Borough Council - Parish Liaison Meeting to be held on 9^th April 2008.  Mike Sheldrake to attend.

The Clerk reported 2008/2009 Parish Precept Form has been received.  To be discussed at next Meeting.

PLANNING MATTERS

31 Main Street, Grimston - New 2 bedroomed bungalow.  (Application No. 07/01194/OUT).   Plans to

be amended before consideration.

Beech Cottage, 10 Main Street, Saxelbye - (Application No. 07/00921/FUL).  Approval of Planning

Permission received.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

The Chairman thanked Mr. Cowdell for attending and asked if there were any developments on proposed floor repairs to Village Hall.   R.C.C. support has now been received.

The Chairman thanked Mrs. Sleath for carrying out Poppy Appeal Collection in Grimston and raised £59.59.

The Chairman thanked Mr. Lomas for laying wreath at the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial in Grimston.
