SHOBY PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2008 AT GRIMSTON

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

The Members had no interests to declare at this stage.

The Chairman welcomed Mr. David Pendle, Melton Borough Council’s Principal Planning Policy Officer and the members of the public.  Mr. Pendle reported on the Melton Local Development Framework: Core Strategy (Preferred Options) Development Plan Document.  He stated the consultation closes on

13th March and all comments will be considered.  He asked the Parish Council and members of the public for questions.  Facility scoring, affordable housing, possible infill and contribution by developers to benefit community were discussed. The Chairman thanked Mr. Pendle for attending the Meeting.

MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 16th January 2008 were approved and signed.

MATTERS ARISING

Stocks  -  The Clerk reported Grant applications have been submitted and awaiting decisions.

White Posts -  Leics. County Council has now received posts and will put up within next few weeks and will erect small rectangular reflectors.

HGV Lorries - Cllr. Orson reported Leics. County Council has informed ‘Sat Nav’ Companies of route problems and this will feed through eventually.

The Rectory, 4 Church Lane, Saxelbye (Application No. 08/00066/TCA).  Application for Consent to Work on Trees.  The Parish Council agreed to support the application.

Church Farm, 16 Main Street, Grimston (Application No. 07/01314/TCA).  Consent to Work on Trees received.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Annual Parish Meeting - Decided Clerk contacts CAB regarding Guest Speaker.  Meeting to be held on Wednesday 30th April at Grimston Village Hall.
