MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETINGThe
Minutes of the Meeting held on 14th June 2005 were approved
and signed. DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTThe
Members had no interests to declare at this stage. MATTERS ARISINGShoby Crossroads & Bends – Cllr. Orson reported proposed improvements are going ahead on schedule and a Survey has been carried out. Parish Council and neighbours will be asked for views. Cllr. Orson stated he would monitor closely. The bush and grass verge at the crossroads has been cut back to improve visibility. PLANNING Windyridge, 16 Shoby Lane, Grimston – Demolition of existing garage and dwelling, construction of new garage and dwelling, closing of secondary vehicular access and re-instatement of hedgerow. (Application No. 05/00545/FUL) The Parish Council discussed the application in detail and agreed they have no observations. Old Goods Yard, Grimston Station, Saxelbye (Application No. 05/00274/OUT) – Clerk reported Melton Borough has confirmed an appeal against refusal of planning permission has been made to the Secretary of State. 19 Main Street, Grimston (Application No. 05/00331/LBC) – Listed Building Consent received. Manor House, Saxelbye (Application No. 05/00534) – Application for Consent to Work on Trees. (For information only.) Asfordby Wind Farm – Scoping Report. Clerk reported RPS has requested the Parish Council confirm in writing their observations or state in writing they have no comments to make. Parish Council agreed Clerk telephones RPS and informs them the Parish Council is still in consultation and not prepared to make any comment in writing at this stage. Decided Clerk puts article in Village Life asking for comments. Melton Local Development Framework. Draft Melton Statement of Community Involvement – Preferred Options. Circulated and questionnaire will be completed at next Meeting. CORRESPONDENCE The following items were brought to the attention of the Council:- Leics. County Council – Leics. & Leicester Waste Development Framework & Leics. Minerals Development Framework. Statement of Community Involvement. Chairman commented on problems with tyre disposal. Cllr. Orson stated he would contact Mr. Royston of Melton Borough Council. DEFRA – Clean Neighbourhood & Environment Act 2005. LARAPLC – June Update. Rural Community Council – Applications for Trustee. LARAPLC - Melton Branch Meeting at Council Offices on 12th July. Mrs. Sleath to attend. LARAPLC – Pointers to Good Practice. Guide for Town & Parish Councils. Circulated. Melton LPU Newsletter. OTHER BUSINESS Parish Council discussed procedure for dealing with complaints etc. between Meetings. Decided to discuss at next Meeting when all Parish Councillors are present. Extension of 30 mph Speed Limit, Main Street, Grimston. Mr. Morris commented this matter should be looked into. Decided Clerk contacts Mr. Sheldrake and report back at next Meeting. Expense Review. The Chairman circulated Table detailing Balances on Bank Accounts for past 15 months. Decided to discuss at next Meeting. DATE AND VENUE OF NEXT MEETINGTuesday
